I’m not really what you would call a romantic person, so writing this letter to you is really hard for me. But let me get one thing straight. Writing a love letter is hard, but loving you is easy.

I’m not real good with fancy words and romantic gestures but I do know one thing, and I want you to know it too. I feel differently about you than I’ve ever felt about anyone else in my life.

It’s hard for me to explain what the feeling is, all I can say is that when I’m with you, the movie  I’m watching seems better, the music I’m listening to sounds more alive, even things like doing the dishes is more fun just by your being in the room. Everything I do seems to be better, brighter and more exciting when I can share it with you. I can’t imagine a life without you in it. I have a piece missing from my heart or soul, or somewhere, and you are the missing piece of the puzzle. A perfect fit. I can’t even remember what life was like before you came into it. It was like living in the dark and now someone’s turned on the light.

You are my most treasured possession, even though I know I don’t own you. I’m just so lucky you decided to share your life with me, and there’s nothing, just nothing, I wouldn’t do to make you happy. The stars and moon are yours for the asking, but personally I’d rather you just wanted me. Just like I want you.

Now that I’ve written all this down, I realize it wasn’t so hard to write a love letter after all. Maybe it just depends on whom you’re writing it to. Writing a love letter is easy, but only when it’s to you.

This is a love letter. And I’m writing it to you so that you will always have a permanent reminder of how much I truly love you. It’s important to me that you know this. Whenever we’re apart or anytime you feel unhappy when things just aren’t going right, you’ll always have this letter to read and re-read to remind you of just how much I care about you. And also so you’ll know that, no matter what life may throw at us, now or in the future, my love will always be there for you. Keeping you in a safe and warm cocoon, protected by the power of love.

I love you _______________. Pure and simple. I’ve always loved you. Right from the moment I first saw you, I knew you were the one. There was no question about it; I didn’t have to think, or ask anyone’s opinion. My heart, my mind and my body just knew that we were meant to be.

And I have no doubt that we will always be together, because no force on earth can break the power of love and my love for you is stronger than any ocean, any mountain or any obstacle that may try to come between us. Don’t ever, even for a moment, think that there could be any other (woman/man) for me. I see no one but you. You are, and always will be, my life partner and for me, other (women/men) don’t even exist on the same level as you do.

I don’t need anyone or anything to make me happy; no money, no pills, no expensive lifestyle or fancy clothes does it for me. The only thing I need is you. You are what makes my life the joy that it is. With you in it, the world is Eden again.

They say love is a drug. If that’s so, then, I’m hooked on you.
